Seaview
For an amazing view of the sea, choose one of the beach-side bars.
With a wonderful view of the Boulogne-sur-Mer beach, la Kabane is the place to stop off to make the most of a welcome break. In the summer Nausicaá's Blue Bar welcomes you for a friendly moment with the sea as backdrop.
On the Wimereux seafront, the Two Sisters will also delight your eyes and tastebuds. You'll love the interior decoration (an ode to nature), the revisited old cocktails and the local produce on the menu.
In Hardelot, head for L’Océan and its sublime panoramic view of the beach. You'll love its inventive bistronomic cooking and its wonderful selection of exceptional wines served by the glass.
If you really want to be on the water's edge, head for Le Portel. In the summer, Le Château de Sable Beach Club sets out its terrace (and what a terrace!) on the beach. Chairs, tables, parasols, palm trees and sun loungers… Take a seat!
All year round, it's the bar-restaurant L'Archipelle https://www.larchipelle.com/ that will hold your attention with its selection of cocktails to be consumed in moderation and its menu to be perused to spend a wonderful moment with the beach just a few steps away.
In the heart of the town
The bar at the Hôtel des Arts in Wimereux, the Mona Lisa offers a unique setting and a really wonderful atmosphere. There are regular Gypsy jazz and 1930s French song concerts with, as a bonus, a wine list selected by the former sommelier at La Matelote…
Indeed, if you are a wine buff: the Cave de Monsieur Guy in Boulogne-sur-Mer remains the address not to be missed under any circumstances. Discoveries guaranteed, all in the heart of the old town.
Still in Boulogne, for a friendly atmosphere, head for Place Dalton. A ray of sunshine and out come the terrace tables! There are several bars and restaurants in the neighbourhood. Cobblestones, Saint-Nicolas church, the nearby shopping street… This is THE place where the locals go.
And even on the greens!
Perhaps you didn't know this, but the Boulogne area is home to two magnificent golf courses. So, remember the club houses!
If you're looking for a place to disconnect, head for Wimereux golf course's Club House. In the winter, you'lll love the warm atmosphere at the fireside, in the summer the wonderful view of the golf course. It's clear, you're in the heart of the greens. A special mention for the home cooking and fresh produce.
In Hardelot, the Golf des Dunes' Club House promises calm and a change of scenery. You'll enjoy a drink among the centuries-old pine trees in a typically British atmosphere. What makes the resort special is that it does not have one but two golf courses! If you like the atmosphere at the Golf des Dunes' Club House, you can also try out the one at the Golf des Pins!
